Translations

The purpose of translation is to ensure the distribution and comprehensibility of text in the respective languages. The term Translator refers to the professional who transposes the text from the original language into the target language in such a way so as to maintain the original meaning unchanged as much as possible and resorting, wherever necessary, to an adaptation process. We work exclusively with professional, mother tongue translators specialised in the technology, marketing, software, legal and contracting sectors.

We also carry out Sworn Translations. In other words, we provide legally valid documents translated into another language in order to preserve their legal value even in the translation and therefore they are accepted as valid by foreign agencies, institutions and authorities. This type of procedure is required for documents such as certificates, diplomas, contracts and in any case where a translator's certification relative to the veracity of the translated text is required. An oath statement is attached to the translation, signed by the translator in the role of expert or the person who represents the translator and by the Court Clerk, who certifies the correct swearing procedure.

In Italy a translation can be sworn in court or before a Justice of the Peace or a notary. Sworn translations (or asseverations) should not be confused with authentication (Apostille). This procedure, where the sworn translation is taken to the Public Prosecutor to have a stamp, called an Apostille applied, is required for translations which must be produced for agencies and authorities with headquarters in a 5 October 1961 Hague Convention country.

TAX STAMP FEES A €16.00 tax stamp must be affixed to the sworn translation for every 100 rows beginning from the first translated sheet, including the oath statement. In some cases, depending on the prevailing offices, another €3.68 tax stamp is required for admin fees.
